Q: the hepititus drug called heptovir?
hi, i started taking heptovir 6 mos ago starting with 2 billion copies of hep b per ml. now, its down to 10 per ml. does this mean one day i will be hep b neg one day? if not, is there a good time when i can stop taking it, cuz it makes me lazy and fat. or do i have to take it and be a fatass for the rest of my life? thanks
A: The minimum dosage period is 1 year, the literature says "often much longer" but states no outside limit. The drug limits the reproduction of the virus thus keeping the numbers low, this does not mean that you are hep b clear. I cannot find any details of weight gain as a side effect, most of the sites I have loked at say loss of appetite is common along with digestive upsets, heartburn and belching.
